# Adam Derums
Australian contemporary painter based in Western Australia.
Adam Derums’ paintings emerge through prolonged processes of layering, repetition and sustained studio engagement. Working between abstraction and atmospheric figuration, his practice explores perception, memory, duration and states of contemplation within contemporary life.
Over more than three decades, Derums has developed a significant exhibition history across Australia and internationally, including projects in Berlin, New York, Singapore and Italy. His work is held in major public and private collections including the Art Gallery of Western Australia, Artbank, Wesfarmers and Curtin University.
